Elegant and timeless, yet family-friendly, was the mandate for the home of a newly blended family of six in Danville, California. The 7,500 square-foot residence showcases a warm neutral palette woven throughout the five bedrooms and five bathrooms. When you enter, a striking staircase greets you, adorned with a custom plaster chandelier and sconces. The dining room features custom grid millwork, original artwork, and a brass sculptural chandelier. The centerpiece of the living room is a grand, concrete fireplace, and the nano doors blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living, as they overlook a modern, 40-foot swimming pool. The family comes together around a marble kitchen island with a banquette and glass pendants. An innovative mudroom was designed to serve the organizational needs of everyone. The thoughtful design plan allows all six family members to feel at home in a reimagined space that brings the new family together in an inviting and sophisticated California retreat for a family with two grown children.
