Our goal for the renovation of this flat in the heart of San Francisco was to create a peaceful urban retreat befitting the architecture of the building and the character of the neighborhood. Encompassing the entire ground floor, the flat opens to a larger outdoor courtyard and garden that form a welcome respite for city living. Within, we embraced a mature, sophisticated approach, with gorgeous traditional millwork, windows, hardware and lighting.
We specified custom furnishings that promote a harmonious blend of family living and elegant entertaining. The warm tones of the woodwork is balanced by paint and fabrics in creamy tones that are airy and inviting. Baker and Barbara Barry furnishings in the living/dining room are complemented by a Pagani chandelier, and the kitchen provides a well-designed retreat for both cooking and entertaining.
