Ever heard of a company called Mouth?  If not, you should definitely head on over to their website.  They have the MOST unique, expertly curated gift boxes I have seen out there.  They specialize in handmade, small-batch food made by people and not companies.  And their packaging is awesome!!!  I am definitely going to order some of these for several different people on my list and you should too!!!

I love it that they even include the glassware!

Great Office Gift!

Holiday Cheer!

The other cool thing about them is that you can curate your own gift box.  They give you the options and you choose which items you would like to include which personalizes the gift all the more!  I don’t think you could go wrong with a gift by Mouth!

Here’s another great gift idea under $50 that would be adorable for anyone you love…your best friend, sister, teacher, mom, etc.

Heart Mittens by Mark and Graham

Check out those striped slippers too–Love!

Not sure if you’ve ever shopped at Mark and Graham, but they truly have some of the best gift ideas out there for anyone on your list.  Personalizing always makes things just a little more special!

Today’s gift idea in our 12 Days of Christmas series is one of my faves!  How awesome is this Tory Burch Hybrid Smartwatch?

As they describe it, it’s an elegant way to stay connected.  Once you sync it with your mobile device, you can track your activity and sleep, take pictures, control your music and even receive texts!  It comes in a striped nylon band or a gold band as well…all others equally as cool!

This watch would make a great gift for moms, wives, mother-in-laws and your close girlfriends.  Or you could just grab one for yourself!  ha!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for our next bit of inspiration!

Hola Everyone!  I’m off to Cabo this weekend for a quick getaway with friends to refresh before the craziness of the holidays really hit!  Hope you all enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving and that you had time to take a breath and relax a little yourselves.  Thought I’d share a few fun things going on this week…

  1.  I started a little Christmas shopping and found this awesome mask that I picked up for several people in my family (teenagers included)–
Context Charcoal Mask

2.  I also picked up this coverup for our trip to Cabo because not only is it adorable, but it is going to hide a multitude of sins!  Always hard to get in a swimsuit after Thanksgiving weekend!  ha!

Emerson Fry Caftan

3.  This is one of the restaurants that was recommended to us to try this weekend while we’re away.  It looks amazing, so will report back when we get home in case any of you are heading to Cabo over the holiday break…

La Lupita Taco and Mezcal

4.  We were so happy with the way these pillows turned out for our client’s new family room…

5.  And if you need a spray tan for any upcoming parties, you must go see Jenny at Apres Soleil as she does a fantastic job!  She makes a custom color for you that looks so real…not too golden or orange!  And she carries this sleep mask that tans your face as you sleep, in addition to some other really cool products in her salon…

Be sure to check the blog next week as we are getting ready to post our 12 Days of Christmas posts with some fun ideas for the holidays!  Have a good weekend!

At this time of Thanksgiving gatherings, our thoughts turn gratefully to you with warm appreciation.  Wishing you all wonderful celebrations with family and friends!

TGIF!  We are pushing to finish strong for 2017 by finalizing the last few installations of the year and have been busy shopping for our client’s great rooms and kitchens. Here are a few of the items we have purchased for these beautiful rooms…

These beautiful spalted wood bowls by Hudson Grace.

Group these in 3’s or use them singularly. Any way you choose, they are great statement pieces.

This tall Sloane Glass Vase by Ralph Lauren is a classic and looks stunning with tall branches, flowers, or any kind of greenery.

We are hosting Thanksgiving this year.   I love this holiday because it is about all the right things–being grateful for everything and everyone you have in your life.  I think if you just take a little bit of time to do a few extra touches on your dinner, it makes it a very special occasion for your guests.
Here are a few details for our turkey day this year–
1.  I am doing a pie bar for our self-serve dessert bar.  I just ordered this sign from Etsy and I want to have a lot of pies staggered at different heights on cake plates with tons of gorgeous pumpkins to fill below.

2.  I love setting the table along with planning the flowers with my daughter Andie.  Here is my design inspiration for our table this year–brass with black and of course greenery…

3.  Here is a menu that I am downloading from Etsy to place at every place setting…

3.  And of course, I really love party favors. No party is complete without a favor.  Which one of these do you like best?

Or my last idea for a favor would be a great big caramel apple at each place setting!

Anyhoo, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I wish you a day filled with a lot of gratitude and surrounded by those you love with lots of laughter and good food, of course.  Oh, and maybe a magic wand to clean it all up!  Enjoy!

Hope these images give you the ideas you needed to get started on your own front porch!  It’s never too early!

  1.  Yay…it’s Friday!  I’m actually in LA right now at the Baldwin Design Council and am having so much fun.  Baldwin Hardware named 27 architects and designers to serve on its advisory board to share ideas and help shape the future of design.  I’m feeling so honored to have been invited to participate on it for a two year term with such talented people.  We’ve had all kinds of strategy sessions to discuss industry trends as well as the Baldwin products and overall Baldwin brand.

2.  We put the finishing touches on our client’s living room this week, as well as another client’s master bedroom.  Things are really starting to come together!

3.  If you are in the area and are in need of an art update, the Simon Breitbard Fine Arts Annual Trunk Show is November 15th-16th.  There will be a highly edited assortment of over 1000 works from emerging to more established artists.  This year’s charitable recipient will be the American Red Cross in honor of the California Wildlife Relief Fund.

4.  A quick thanks to Dering Hall for including me on their Featured Design Pro Page for the next two weeks!
5.  Did you know it’s the start of the Williams Sonoma Home Friends and Family sale?  Great time to start stocking up on Christmas gifts!!!
Enjoy your weekend!!!
I always look forward to reading Oprah’s favorite list every year.  Wouldn’t it be great fun to behind the scenes and see the entire process and the number of products they must review?   I scoured her list and narrowed it down to a few of my favorites from her list!  Check them out…
1.  I think this looks like a beautiful book.  “Organized into ten chapters―each one representing a powerful step in Oprah’s own spiritual journey and introduced with an intimate, personal essay by Oprah herself―the Wisdom of Sundays features selections from the most meaningful conversations between Oprah and some of today’s most-admired thought-leaders.”  Definitely picking up one of these for myself when I buy it as a gift!
2.  Love these tear-away track pants in navy by Tory Burch.
3.  And yes, believe it or not, this is a TV!!!!
I know! It looks like art, but it turns into a TV when you power it on!

4.  For the spice lover in your life…

The Good Hurt Set!

5.  I can’t wait to try this because herbs are always dying on me!

6.  Chai tea is my go to tea of choice…

Love the beautiful packaging!

7.  Everyone should have a Sonicare toothbrush and especially one that is pink!

8.  I LOVE truffle salt and sometimes think I should start traveling with it!

9.  Yum

Kerber’s Farm Classic Apple Pie

10.  I have been using Magnolia Company for years as a sympathy present, however, I love the idea of purchasing these beautiful plants for the gardener in your life.  Or as a symbol of friendship…

This should be a good start for you to get going on that Christmas list!  Have fun!
