It has been so incredibly hot around here the last several days that all I can think about is jumping in a nice cold pool!  Needless to say, I have been scouring Pinterest for all things pool and pergola related and found some gorgeous inspiration for you if this heat has you thinking about taking the plunge yourself!

You would be so surprised at the selection of outdoor fabrics that one can find now.  It’s no longer just the standard solid canvas or stripe pattern that you have to choose from.  Outdoor fabrics now have almost as many options as you would find in fabrics that are only for indoors.  As a matter-of-fact, we often source outdoor fabrics to be used inside.  They are great for families with children, grandchildren and even pets.  These are a few samples of some that we will be using in our client’s family room.  You’d never know they are actually made to withstand the elements outside!

Such great textures!

I love the stripes in the back.

Outdoor fabrics on barstools make for easy clean up!  Look at these from Sunbrella

Ottomans are another great place to use outdoor fabrics.  This one below is also covered in Sunbrella fabric…

Be sure to pick up the latest issue of Gentry Home!  We were so happy to be included in their July/August issue featuring our clients’ home in the Los Altos Hills.  Thanks so much, Gentry!

Digital issue available now…live copies hit the stands this week!

One of my favorite things about having a white home is the way the red, white and blue of the 4th of July decor pops!  It feels so patriotic and I always enjoy hanging the bunting and the flags.  Always reminds me of how proud I am to be an American!  Hope you all enjoy your 4th of July celebrations with lots of good food, friends and family, and of course, fireworks too!!!

Be sure to check out @anthro_walnutcreek on Instagram this Saturday and Sunday as we are doing an Instagram Takeover with them!  Here’s a little sneak peek of a weekend in my life using some of my favorite Anthro products!  We’ll share the links next week after it goes live on Insta!

Love, love, love this striped tunic! Perfect to wear for working in my garden or lounging by the pool!

Yummy Sunday breakfast made even better with the fun linen napkins!

Oh Tucker!

Time for some rest and relaxation!

Lots more to see @anthro_walnutcreek this weekend!  Be sure to follow both days!

Working in my garden is something I always look forward to in the summer.  And I would like it even more if I had some of these great garden tools from Terrain!  From bright colored garden hoses to old fashioned wagons, they have everything a gardener could want!

Heritage Garden Hose

Love all of the colors, but you know me…I always go for the white!

The Ultimate Garden Cart…if my kids were still little enough, I’d haul them around in this!

Burgon and Ball Pruners because having the proper tools makes gardening so much easier.

And look how cute the packaging is that they come in…great to give as a gift!

Apolis Jute Garden Tote

Not only is it useful, but it’s stylish to boot!

And after a long afternoon of working in the garden, this salve is the BEST!

Want to see more?  Head on over to the Terrain website where you will find loads of great items to use in your yard!

Pool floats made a comeback last summer and the trend is here to stay in 2017!   A little nap on any of these floats sounds like a treat to me with the kind of heat we’ve been having around here!  I think they’re also fun to take as hostess gifts if you’re traveling to see friends or family this summer.

Need a light by a bed or table but don’t have a ton of space to place it?  I love to use sconces just for that reason.  They free up surface space but give you all the light you need.  The Nelson Cigar Wall Sconce by Herman Miller has another feature that makes it even more appealing…you can plug it in to a standard outlet, so there’s no need for an electrician to install it!  Check it out…
